We all know there are only so many things we can do with card effects before we have to start modding the game's code in order to make them usable, so what things would you like seeing able to be done.  Also give a reason for it if needed.

Here's mine so far:

  • Phase Counter: For those who want to make effects that track smaller amounts of time by using the phases. This is basically a small change to the counter for cards like Swords Of Revealing Light and other cards that track time in turns but in this case we're tracking time in phases.
  • Cards Per Zone Manipulation: Basically changing how many cards can be in a given zone, XYZs show it can be done if the cards are material on it but in this case it would be how many cards can be in said zone before the game starts places them into a new zone.  This would also change up a few other game mechanics for this new one.  Like what cards can be attacked, targeted, activate effects, etc and when.
  • Vanguard's Lock Mechanic: This might help some card makers porting cards over for Vanguard so they don't have to banish the cards but can replicate that game mechanic here in YuGiOh a lot easier. Smile 
  • Archetype & Archetype Target Manipulation: Just being able to change the Archetype of a card if we can't already would be nice but also being able to change the Archetype Targets within the card's effects would be just as helpful.


The list we make should help OutLaw and any other programmers here know what we need or want so feel free to think up anything that comes to mind we might need.
OK now what does everyone else want added?

I really want the archetype manipulation, i have an idea of a "Virus" archetype that infects other monsters(and maybe spells and traps if it isn't too strong) and changes their archetype to Virus in the process. Then you use Antivirus Spell/Traps to destroy Virus cards, and Virus support cards to protect them from being destroyed. I would like this to target cards in decks too, so it would be a pretty tricky archetype to use as you could destroy your own deck or leave your opponent helpless.

Some of my Orb Lit Cards also use Archetype manipulation so it would be good to have since it could open up new possibilities for us.
